The IMPACT Learning Center in Jackson County is preparing for its Summer of IMPACT. It's a free summer program featuring student-led classes on topics like friendship-bracelet making, journaling, creative writing and scrapbooking.
Some classes are designed for children and youth, while others target adults. The program gives students a chance to teach their skills and share fun classes with the community while offering community members access to enjoyable learning opportunities.
IMPACT is looking for college students or high school juniors and seniors interested in teaching classes for the program. Student teachers will earn community service credit hours and receive a certificate of service from IMPACT Learning Center.
