Huntsville Police say they arrested a man after a chase ended with an officer-involved shooting on Tuesday.
Huntsville Police say officers were investigating shootings that happened over the weekend at an apartment complex in Westlake at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators say that no one was hurt in the shootings.
Police say 26-year-old Koby Green was wanted in connection with the shooting and that they received information he was near Highway 53 and Research Park Boulevard. Officers say they tried to stop Green, but he led them on a short chase and tried to turn around in the middle of the road.
According to Huntsville Police, Green pointed a gun at officers as he was turning around. The officer chasing him fired one shot, but did not hit Green.
Green was caught and taken into custody. He had three active warrants for his arrest, including two counts of shooting into an unoccupied dwelling and one for probation revocation for first-degree robbery.
Police say Green will also be charged for the chase and for attempting to flee and elude. Officers found what they described as a trafficking amount of fentanyl on him during the incident.
No officers or Green were injured during the chase.
