The 51Ó°Ôº 31 StormTracker and Chief Meteorologist Taylor Kanost took a trip to Marshall County to visit Brindlee Mountain Elementary School.
The enthusiastic 3rd, 4th and 5th graders learned what it takes to be a meteorologist and discussed severe weather safety.
Unfortunately, these students know firsthand the damage tornadoes can cause.
On Jan. 11, 2020, an EF-2 tornado with winds as strong as 120 mph destroyed Brindlee Mountain Primary School.
Thankfully, this occurred on a Saturday. These students, in Pre-K at the time, had to be displaced for the remainder of the year.
